What Is An Early Years Assessment?
An early years assessment is undertaken to identify a child’s skillset and look out for any developmental delays. It offers tailored interventions and improved outcomes, enhancing a child’s overall wellbeing.
How Do Early Year Assessments Work?

Step 1: Observation and Assessment
The first step of the process is for the child to be observed in a nursery or school. There will also be a dynamic assessment, plus language, play, social skills, early academics and behaviour will be monitored. A developmental milestone screening will also take place.

Step 2: Discussions
With your consent, a collaborative meeting will be arranged between the nursery/school, parents and our educational psychologist. All parties will be able to report their findings.

Step 3: Feedback and Report
The educational psychologist will provide you with a written summary or their findings, as well as recommendations of the best ways to move forward.

How Much Does An Early Years Assessment Cost?
The fee for early years assessment ranges from AED 2000 to AED 3000. This includes a nursery/school visit, parent consultation, questionnaires, early learning screening, a short report and more.
Are Your Findings Confidential?
Yes, all of our findings are completely confidential. There is the option to share the report with your child’s nursery/school if you wish.
Can I Book An Appointment During After School Hours?

Can Early Year Assessments Be Covered By Insurance?
It is possible for early year assessments to be covered by insurance as we are a Pay & Claim clinic. Please contact your insurance provider directly to check if this is covered with your policy. If it is covered, we can sign and stamp your claim form following your visit.
