Dr Kylie Menolee

Clinical Psychologist at Connect Psychology

I’m Kylie! I am a Clinical Psychologist at Connect Psychology.

I was trained in the UK and I have a passion for helping individuals, especially children, young people and their families, navigate both mental health and physical health challenges. My goal is to support you, or your child, achieve a meaningful and improved quality of life.

Since starting my doctorate in 2016, I have worked in various National Health Service (NHS) services as well as the private sector, with individuals across all ages experiencing a range of difficulties. I love working with people and feel privileged to have met so many wonderful people from diverse backgrounds, each with their own unique stories and strengths.

What will it be like when I first meet you?

I understand that seeing a therapist isn’t easy and can feel quite daunting, so I work to create a warm and compassionate space where you feel comfortable sharing. I value authenticity and take a flexible, collaborative, and creative approach to help build trust and engagement. In our initial sessions, I’ll get to know you—your family, support network, interests, alongside your concerns, and the goals you hope to achieve.

What therapies do you use and what kind of difficulties do you help people with?

My experience spans a range of challenges, including

  • Stress such as work-related or exam stress, anxiety, depression and low self-esteem
  • Anger management
  • Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
  • Grief and bereavement
  • Relationship difficulties including parenting support
  • Navigating neurodiversity and executive functioning difficulties
  • Adjusting to or managing the demands of long term or acute health conditions such as diabetes, cancer and obesity

I also provide specialist assessments for children, young people and adults:

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) assessments including ADOS-2
  • Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) assessments
  • Cognitive assessments, for example, to assess learning, reasoning and memory
I use a range of therapeutic techniques, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Narrative Therapy, tailored to fit your needs.

What are your interests outside of psychology?

I am a mum of 2 young boys, and I love to explore the world and new experiences with them, alongside my family and friends. In my spare time, I enjoy running and Pilates. I also love to watch a good series or movie or read a book.
