Support for adults

Adult wellness check

Just as we go to see a doctor for an occasional physical health check up, it can be useful to have a chat with a psychologist to see how we're doing with our mental health. This is a great opportunity to have a one-off or short series of sessions to identify where you're doing well, areas you'd like to make change and put together a plan to make that happen!

Adult therapy

One to one psychological therapy has been found to be a really effective way of helping people manage with the difficulties that life brings, such as low mood, anxiety, family problems, trauma, neurological conditions (eg. stroke), neurodevelopmental disorders (eg. ADHD/Autism), eating difficulties or general life changes. When you get in touch to arrange an appointment, we will match you up with the psychologist who we believe best suits your needs.

Couples therapy

Couples therapy can be a really useful way of addressing difficulties in a relationship that might be related to communication, feeling disconnected from each other, not sharing a common goal or challenges with intimacy.

Couples therapy can also be a helping a partner who is struggling with their own difficulties, as it can help give a shared understanding of each others challenges and find the best way forward together.

Support for Children, Young people and Families

Children and Young People

There are many reasons why children and young people may experience difficulties with their mental health. Our therapists have the training and experience to work with children in the ways that make sense to them: through play, by helping them understand their thoughts and feelings and by teaching them strategies to cope with challenges.

We are one of the few centres in Dubai to offer EMDR therapy to children as well as Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Therapeutic Yoga.

We specialise in effective psycho-educational assessment for a wide range of social, emotional, behavioural and learning needs.

Family therapy

Many families can experience difficulties such as arguing at home, a particular member of the family struggling to fit in, or wanting to improve everyone's communication with each other at home. Family therapy can be an effective way of giving everyone in the family a safe space and chance to be heard so that you can overcome your difficulties and make positive changes as individuals and a family.

Parenting

Support for Parents

There’s no doubt that becoming a parent is a time of immense change and something that no one can truly prepare for – although not many people will tell you that. Most mums, dads, step-parents, adoptive parents and carers experience a shift in identity and struggle with changes they experience during this process. Sometimes there will be practical challenges such as developing a home routine that works, establishing good sleeping habits or toilet training; there may also be emotional challenges like feelings of guilt, low mood, loss of confidence, feeling disconnected from partners and friends and managing sibling rivalry.

We offer a wide range of services for parents and caregivers, whether you just need a supportive steer when you feel you are losing your way, if you need practical strategies and guidance, or if you feel your mental health is suffering.
